Al-Bustan Nursery receives children who suffer from hearing and verbal handicap namely hearing-impaired and deaf children who conducted the cochlear implant between two to six years. Cochlear implant is a means of re-hearing and speech acquisition for natural communication with the community and the environment around us. This hearing aid is based on the idea of sending electrical signals directly to the end of the auditory nerve in the natural cochlea inside the inner ear.

To develop communicative linguistic skills which include: - Cognitive receptive language: It is the language of others which we receive and understand (The language of the listener). Productive expressive language: It is the language we use to express ideas and opinions (The language of the speaker).

To develop cognitive, social and emotional performance through the use of behavioral and educational activities.

Offering orientation and family counseling through: - Providing parents with educational advice concerning how to deal with the handicap of their children. - Raising awareness among community members about hearing disability to break the barrier of fear between the community and the disabled.

 

The nursery Public programs:
 

Love: to provide a suitable environment inside the nursery based on love between both teachers and children and between children and their peers.

Play: to play with them in order to develop their cognition and help them control their emotions and behavior (learning through play).

Talking: motivating children to dialogue and articulate their needs automatically inside the nursery.

Have we achieved our goals?

Ten years following the foundation of the Nursery approximately one hundred and fifty children who are mostly integrated in the general education classes and special education classes (classes merger) graduated.

As a result of concerted efforts of the parents and the nursery staff, we could break the barrier of silence for these children, helping them and preparing them for integration into society.

Follow-up the achievements grades average of many children who graduated from the nursery through their parents and the schools they have joined.
